Mind Palace
A piece I did for my very first curated show with Instigatorzine for an event titled Exemplary. Hope you all like it as much as I enjoyed making it. More to come from this series, especially with how satisfied I am after having finished this one.
BTW, this is my attempt at a mild amalgamation of both classic and modern takes on this character. Okay, til next time!

Instigatorzine Covers
So these are the last 2 covers I've done for Instigatorzine. The first is for IZ15 and the bottom is for IZ19. Don't let the numbers fool you, these were actually done quite some time apart, and I hope the quality on the most recent one proves it.
On both I wanted to try something different though. With the Black and white one, I wanted to try and mix a photograph with an actual digital painting (this was long before I had even heard of Matt Paintings and though I was onto something original). The idea was to create something eerie like that big foot footage that shows him walking by in a grainy video. Something about that has never sat right with me, heh.
For the second piece, I had begun a few months ago to really explore different techniques on how to paint on PS. Despite some lighting issues that I wasn't too happy with, I was really excited for how this turned out. Indeed I labored a while over it trying to figure out all kinds of things and I think it paid off!
Anyway, if you don't know anything about Instigatorzine, it's an arts and literature magazine based out of Jersey City and Bayonne New Jersey. It's a nifty little thing, and right now it's only 5 bux an issue, so why dont you guys hop on over to instigatorzine.com and support? I promise great things.
Well, til next time!

Prince Joffrey Baratheon
...or should I say King? (I'd actually have to call him "Your Grace," since I'm a peasant though, right? Right?)
Anyway, this image was inspired by a something he said last episode, "Everyone is MINE to torment."
Have loved the line ever since I heard it in the trailer. Wanted to incorporate it in the image, but alas I loved the indication of the swords that make up the Iron Throne in the background too much (the text would have been covering them.)
Perhaps I'll add a version with text soon just so anyone that looks can compare and decide for themselves. Until then, enjoy this miserable little jerk.

Artist ASSEMBLE!
Quite possibly two of my favorite pieces I've made. These were made for a semi-local art show a few cities away with an Avengers theme. It attracted the attention of several local news papers, and brought out a nice little crowd of children and young adults that were interested in the comic book world. Really awesome stuff!
Though I only submitted two for the show, I was so pleased with these that I'll be making some more in the coming weeks so look out!
City Limits
Ever get struck in the head by a particularly low flying pigeon? The fellow from IZ 16's "City Limit's" story did, and this was my illo for it.
Not Yo Mama's Gals (or so they say)
A portrait of the ladies who run Not Yo Mama's Craft Fair here NJ, and their creepy mascot in the background (rendered in a more realistic fashion for even more creepiness).
Also done for IZ 17 as part of our INSTIGATOR feature.
Let's keep it going!
This is a portrait I did for my cousin as a surprise to celebrate his new born son's baptism. In all the ref pics I used this little guy had tons of hair, then I see him a week ago and it's all gone.
Boy do I feel silly for giving him a mane in this! But they still liked it so hey!
That Finger Poem & The Two Things
Holy contemporary art, how long has it been since I've updated this bad boy?
Anyway, how's about I start you all off with some spots I did for the latest issue of IZ (#17 can you believe it?)
The piece on the right is done as a separate image as I was trying to work with the layout (which had diagonal text running down it).

Instigatorzine: Marbles, Midnight Friend, Talking to the Dreamless Man, Self Abuse
My spots for this month's issue of the Instigatorzine. They were all supposed to be pretty bizarre.
Anyway, hope you like.
